1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases made through tapajaguarlandroverengines.com, operated by TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines, located at 46135 Division St, Lancaster, CA 93535. Phone: (310) 497-1132. By placing an order, you agree to these terms in full.
2. Products
All engines sold by TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines are Stage 2 remanufactured units. “Remanufactured” means each engine has been fully disassembled, inspected, machined, and rebuilt to exceed OEM specifications using new and upgraded components. All products are sold as seller-refurbished with zero miles at time of shipment.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes. Payment is due in full before shipment. We accept major credit cards, WooPayments, and PayPal. Financing options may be available — contact us for details. Prices are subject to change without notice prior to order confirmation.
4. Order Confirmation & VIN Verification
All orders require VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) verification before processing. By submitting your VIN, you authorize TAPA to verify fitment. If your VIN does not match the engine ordered, we will contact you before processing your order. TAPA is not responsible for orders placed without VIN verification.
5. Shipping
We ship to the contiguous 48 United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam, or other US territories. Engines are shipped via LTL freight carrier on a pallet or in a crate. Standard transit is 3–7 business days after build completion. Freight costs are calculated at checkout. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.
6. Core Return Policy
A core charge applies to all engine purchases. The core is your old engine, which must be returned within 30 days of delivery in a drainable condition (no holes, no major external damage). Core refunds are issued after inspection. Engines returned with catastrophic external damage (cracked block, missing components) may result in a partial or forfeited core credit.
7. Warranty
12 Months / 12,000 Miles — Backed by the Builder
Every TAPA engine comes with a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty, plus up to ,500 toward qualifying labor on approved warranty repairs. This is a strong, honest warranty that we are proud to stand behind. It is not a gimmick to close a sale. When we put our name on an engine, we back it.
Why 12 Months / 12,000 Miles
A properly built, top-quality engine, installed and used correctly, will show any real build or parts defect well within that window. By 12,000 miles, the average person should be on their third oil change if they are maintaining the engine correctly. Because of that reality, 12,000 miles is our cutoff — a fair, realistic warranty that allows us to truly stand behind our work.
Some places will sell you a 2–, 3–, or 5–year warranty knowing that many customers will not change their oil on time. Those warranties are often written mainly to get the sale. I’m Keith, the owner of TAPA. I don’t like to play those games. I’d rather give you a real warranty that works in the real world than a long one that’s designed to be denied.
What Our Warranty Covers
Our warranty covers our work and the parts we supply, when the engine is installed correctly, used as intended, and maintained properly (including oil changes as recommended). Coverage includes:
- Defects in materials and workmanship of the internal engine build performed by TAPA
- Support in diagnosing genuine build-related issues
- Up to ,500 toward labor costs on approved warranty repairs, at a reasonable, industry-standard labor rate
- In some cases, replacement of the engine at no charge, including shipping to the approved repair facility
What Is Not Covered
No honest warranty can cover everything. Our warranty does not cover:
- Abuse, racing, or deliberate over-revving
- Neglect, including failure to perform proper and timely oil changes
- Overheating, lubrication failures, or running low/no oil or coolant
- Incorrect installation, tuning mistakes, or modifications outside our recommendations
- Pre-existing or unrelated vehicle problems (cooling system, fuel system, electronics, etc.) that damage the engine
How Labor and Replacement Support Works
When a genuine warranty issue is confirmed, we may contribute up to ,500 toward qualifying labor. If a replacement engine is the right solution, we will supply it at no charge and cover shipping to the approved repair facility.
Your Warranty Is on Your Invoice
Your official TAPA warranty is printed on your invoice. Keep a copy in a safe place. If you ever need to use your warranty, we will refer to the invoice number, vehicle information, and mileage recorded there as your proof of coverage.

8. Returns & Refunds
Engines may be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original condition. A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned engine. Engines that have been installed are not eligible for return unless covered under warranty.
9. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement at no charge. After 24 hours, if the build process has commenced, a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the purchase price may apply. Contact us immediately at (310) 497-1132 to request a cancellation.
10. Limitation of Liability
TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products, including but not limited to loss of vehicle use, towing costs, or labor expenses. Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
12. Changes to Terms
TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes become effective upon posting to this page. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
