Question 2

What is a Stage 2 remanufactured JLR engine?

Accepted Answer

TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines Stage 2 Remanufactured JLR engines are the gold standard for Jaguar and Land Rover engine replacement. Every engine undergoes a 14-step precision rebuild process: (1) Complete disassembly and magnaflux crack inspection; (2) CNC bore to spec and installation of high-tensile flanged steel cylinder sleeves — permanently fixing the factory aluminum bore shifting defect; (3) Full surface grinding and deck resurfacing; (4) All new OEM-spec pistons, rings, and rod bearings; (5) New heavy-duty timing chain tensioners and guides — eliminating the catastrophic timing failure found in factory JLR engines; (6) Upgraded coolant pipe sleeves preventing the notorious internal coolant breach; (7) New camshaft followers, valve seals, and gasket sets; (8) Head porting and polishing for maximum airflow; (9) Assembly in a climate-controlled clean room; (10) Simulated load testing at operating temperature; (11) Oil pressure and compression verification; (12) Multi-point quality sign-off; (13) Fresh engine dressing and paint; (14) Crated and shipped with all accessories. Every TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines Stage 2 engine carries a 12-month / 12,000-mile parts AND labor warranty. We ship free to all 48 contiguous US states via freight with liftgate service.

Question 3

What makes TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines Stage 2 engines better than used JLR engines from overseas?

Accepted Answer

Cheap imported or overseas used JLR engines carry every uncorrected factory defect — weak aluminum cylinder walls that shift and crack, failing timing chain tensioners that cause catastrophic engine failure, and defective internal coolant pipes that leak into the oil. TAPA Jaguar & Land Rover Engines Stage 2 engines permanently fix all of these defects before shipping. A used overseas engine is a repeat failure waiting to happen. A TAPA Stage 2 engine is a permanent, warranted solution.
